Soldier and Family Readiness Group (SFRG), formerly known as Family Readiness Group (FRG), is a unit commander's program. SFRGs provide a critical link between commander's and their Soldier and Families. SFRG offers official and accurate command information; connects Soldiers and Families to the chain of command; provides a network of mutual support; and connects SFRG members to on/off post community resources. Commanders can leverage the SFRG to enhance unit readiness. Taking care of people (Soldiers, Families, and civilians) is the Army's top priority. HQDA EXORD 233-19 provides implementing guidance for the SFRG Program.
